Introduction

Since joining MoRAP in 2008, Phillip has worked on numerous terrestrial and aquatic projects. Recently he was the GIS lead for the revision of Missouri Department of Conservation’s State Wildlife Action Plan. He currently is working to complete a high resolution tree classification for the bottomlands of Missouri.

He is particularly interested in object based image analysis and land cover classification.

Background

Phillip received a B.S and M.S in Wildlife and Fisheries Science from Mississippi State University. His thesis was titled “Effects of Intensive Pine Plantation Management on Wintering and Breeding Avian Communities in Southern Mississippi.”
