Objectives
- Identify high conservation value and high restoration value forests on an ecological subsection-by-subsection basis.
- Set priorities for conservation based on a varitey of important variables (species, enduring features, target birds, diversity).
The Missouri Resource Assessment Partnership (MoRAP) developed the Forestry Infomart at the University of Missouri with funding prodvided by the NASA/Raytheon Syngery program. The currrent focus is to provide information to federal partners, especially the USFS, EPA, NRCS, USGS, and USFWS. Current projects include the Identification of critical ecosystems and important bird areas, modeling of ecological systems, and evaluation of forest change and forst productivity in the Missouri Ozarks.
